The Text Search tool allows you to quickly find specific text, labels, or tags across your project.
1) Open the right-side panel and select Text Search.

2) Enter the exact text or label you are looking for in the search bar.
The menu is divided into three main configuration sections:

3) Once the search is complete, all matching text items will be highlighted on the drawing in a distinct purple color.
You can review the complete list of matches in the Search Results section at the bottom of the right-side panel. The results are neatly grouped by document and zone.
Focus on an item: Clicking on any specific item in this list will automatically zoom and focus the view on its exact location on the drawing.

4) Create a count: To turn your search results into a measurable takeoff, simply click the blue Create count button next to the total match number. This will automatically generate a new count group for all the highlighted items.

To refine how the system interprets your text, open the Advanced Settings dropdown:
Case sensitive: Matches the exact capitalization of your text.
Whole word: Ensures the search only finds the complete word, not parts of larger words.
Regular expression: Allows you to use regex code for complex search patterns.
Define the scope of your search across the project documents. You can choose to search within:
All pages: Scans the entire project.
Opened pages: Scans only the documents currently open in your tabs.
Current page: Limits the search to the active sheet.
Select pages: Allows you to manually pick specific sheets from your File Manager.
With the latest update, you can now combine text search with AI-recognized Plan Zones, enabling you to pinpoint exactly where the system should look for your text and easily filter out irrelevant results.
This powerful new setting leverages the AI's ability to understand the layout of your drawings. You can restrict your search to specific areas (zones) on the selected pages:
Drawing
Legend
Table
Stamp
Text
Note
Undefined (areas not explicitly categorized by AI)
Pro Tip: This feature is incredibly useful for creating accurate counts. For example, if you want to count a specific text item (like an electrical fixture tag) but want to ignore mentions of that same tag in the legend, notes, or title block, simply select Drawing under Zones to Search and uncheck the rest. The system will only extract results from the actual floor plan area.
